Our SSU RNs have a broad knowledge base of various disease processes and are able to work across a continuum of care that incorporates acute, intermediate, and critical care over various specialties. Opportunities available in both adult and pediatric tracks. Our collaborative work environment includes advanced practice providers, nurse extenders, unit based support technicians and administrative staff.

Additional Information
Education/Work Experience: Work requires a level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of 1+ years of occupationally-specific education: RNs with 1+ year RN experience in Labor & Deliver and/or Maternal/Child Health Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing will be required to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire Knowledge/Skills: Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, and explain medical center polices, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situation may be referred to others as appropriate.
